The Panel on Reimbursement was created by the FPTA Bylaws, Article VIII, Section 1 E. The purpose of this Panel is to be involved in all areas of Reimbursement for therapy services including Workers' Compensation, Medicare, Medicaid And all 3rd party insurance.

This panel serves as a central point to deal with reimbursement issues the members are having in their practices with reimbursement issues. Many times therapists in different area of the state may be dealing with the same (or similar) issues, & this is a means of consolidating the questions and answers regarding these issues.

Each year the APTA sponsors a Reimbursement Chair Forum in Baltimore, where the various states are represented & share ideas, problems, and solutions, as well as learn how to keep abreast of all the changing facets of health care reimbursement.
