Practice Panel
The Panel on Practice is one of the Board Panels created by FPTA bylaws, Article
VIII, Section 1 D. It is composed of Board members as assigned by the Chapter
President. The areas of focus include, standards of practice, peer review, quality
assurance, practice parameters, and outcomes assessment. The panel is available
to answer specific questions related to practice issues, review trends, and
update members on current topics.
Committees under the Panel on Practice include:
1. Research Committee - Murray Maitland,
PhD, PT
Goal: Provide educational resources, tools training and networks
for FPTA members to plan and conduct research and enhance opportunities to Florida
physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to disseminate research.
2. Public Relations Committee - Adele Carr, PT
Goal: To promote a positive example of physical therapy in
the lay and professional communities on a unified statewide level consistently.
